One of our directors and Colin Lee's nephew, Ben recently completed the 10K Wolf run to raise money for 3 fantastic charity's.

Running alongside staff from one of our favourite frames suppliers, wolf eyewear, the group have been raising money in support of Guide dogs UK, vision care for the homeless and the brain tumour charity.
Vision Care for Homeless People provides eye care services to people who are homeless or vulnerably housed across the UK. The Brain Tumour Charity funds research and supports those affected by this devastating disease. Guide Dogs for the Blind transforms the lives of people with visual impairments by providing expertly trained guide dogs.



Before the event Ben said:
"Throughout my career as an Orthoptist and Dispensing Optician i have seen many patients with brain tumours and seen first hand the devastating effects they cause aswell as both personally and as a company supporting the great work done by Vision care for homeless people and Guide dogs and have even being lucky enough to visit the guide dogs training centre.
This year is our 45th anniversary and i wanted to do something to celebrate whilst raising money for some great causes. Although our anniversary doesn't officially start until the Autumn we have some fantastic events lined up for the year and this is a great way to kick off our plans.
I hate running, i wont get that warm sense of joy and freedom many avid runners report. I get chest pain's and sore knees after a short time in so rest assured im doing it for the cause, not for my personal enjoyment (although the slides do look fun)"
