Helping children feel calm and confident about their eye health starts with education.
We believe that when children understand their eyes and what happens during an eye test, they’re far less likely to feel nervous or scared. That’s why community visits are so important to us.
Recently, Priya, one of our wonderful optometrists, visited a local nursery to chat about all things eyes! From how our eyes help us see colours and shapes, to what happens during an eye test, the children had the chance to learn in a fun and relaxed way.
By turning eye care into something familiar and friendly, we can:
- Build confidence ahead of their first eye test
- Encourage curiosity about how their bodies work
- Reduce anxiety around visiting the opticians
- Promote healthy eye habits from an early age
Early education makes a big difference. A positive first experience can shape how children feel about looking after their vision for years to come.
A big thank you to the nursery for welcoming us — we loved answering all the fantastic questions and seeing so many bright smiles!
